Animethon 20 CommitteeASAPA is pleased to announce that a full functioning committee has been successfully appointed to run Animethon 20. As such, ASAPA has given the green light to work towards the event. If the committee can meet the mandates as outlined by ASAPA before the end of this year, Animethon 20 will become a reality.
We would like to thank all those who applied for the Committee positions. You have all helped to bring Animethon 20 one step closer.
Everyone who were not appointed to a Committee position or who have applied for any of the Staff positions, will be passed on to the new directors of each department and be contacted for consideration within the next month.
Please note we will still be accepting applications for non-committee staff positions for all departments via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org

AnnouncementThe ASAPA directorate has met to discuss the continuing staffing issues that have plagued Animethon for the last few years. As pre-event staffing levels have failed to increase to an adequate level, at this point in time ASAPA has no plans for an Animethon 20.
Because of the long history of this event, ASAPA will be providing one opportunity to see a full committee formed for the management of Animethon. On Saturday, September 29th at 1pm at Grant MacEwan, ASAPA will be holding a mass recruitment meeting, room to be announced on the web site. Anyone interested is invited to show up, resume in hand, to be interviewed by the committee.
Prior to that meeting, we will accepting applications for the position of Chairman. All resumes are to be submitted by August 31st, according to the instructions available on the website.
Please note, management experience is required for any directorate position, convention experience is recommended.
If this meeting does not result in a committee that ASAPA feels will be able to uphold Animethon's standards, ASAPA will not reverse this decision.
