POKEMON TCG League Challenge

 

Saturday, August 6

Registration: 10:00-10:45 am
The format for this tournament is Standard, swiss rounds, everyone plays.
Best of 1 (30 minutes).
All participants will receive 1 Play ! Point.
Prizes will be awarded to the TOP FINISHERS only.
Top 4 players from each age division will receive a promo trophy card and Champion Points will be awarded based on attendance.

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

Knowledge of the 2016/2017* TCG rules.
A tournament legal deck of 60 cards from the XY to Fates Collide expansion sets,. roxy cards or cards from worlds decks (grey border on the cards) are NOT allowed; a completed deck list is required.
Your Player ID number. If you do not have a Player ID, one will be provided to you at the event.
Legal randomizer (official coin for flipping or translucent 6 sided die with rounded edges), damage counters, and special condition markers (for burned and poisoned).
BANNED: As of June 15, 2015 Lysandre’s Trump card is not allowed in the Pokemon TCG League.

POKEMON VG ORAS Premier Challenge

Saturday, August 6
Registration: 2:30-3:15 pm
Pokémon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire 3DS Game.
STANDARD FORMAT: two player match / double battle / flat rules / handicap off.
SWISS: best of 1 (15 minutes).
TOP CUT: best 2 of 3 (45 minutes).
Champion Points will be awarded based on attendance.


2016/2017* VGC Format Team Rules:
A completed team list form is required to participate.
Pokémon must be placed in the Battle Box.
In Double Battles, each player selects four Pokémon from their party of six to battle with. At the start of the battle, players send out the first two Pokémon in their party, making a total of four Pokémon on the battlefield.
Game play continues until a player makes all four of their opponent’s Pokémon faint.
All Pokémon must have the blue pentagon on their stats page indicating they were caught, bred or received as an official gift in Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. Pokémon brought in via Poké Transporter will not be permitted (the blue pentagon is required).Teams may have no more than two of the following Pokémon: Mewtwo * Lugia * Ho-Oh * Kyogre * Groudon * Rayquaza * Dialga * Palkia * Giratina * Reshiram * Zekrom * Kyurem * Xerneas * Yveltal, * Zygarde.
BANNED Mythical Pokémon (all forms): Mew * Celebi * Jirachi * Deoxys * Phione * Manaphy * Darkrai * Shaymin * Arceus * Victini * Keldeo * Meloetta * Genesect * Diancie * Hoopa.
Species Clause: No two Pokemon can share the same national Pokedex number.
Item Clause: No two Pokemon on their team can hold the same held item.
BANNED Items: Soul Dew
Pokémon are allowed to Mega Evolve.
Pokémon above Level 50 are permitted, but they are auto-leveled down to 50 for the duration of battle.
Nicknames of a pokemon cannot be another Pokemon’s name or anything offensive.
