Ai Furihata

Ai Furihata is a voice actress and singer from Nagano, Japan.

Ai Furihata made her debut as a full-fledged voice actress playing the role of Ruby Kurosawa in 2015, when she joined the cast of Love Live! Sunshine!!.  In 2018, as a member of the group ‘Aqours’ for the same series, she performed as part of a 2-day live performance at Tokyo Dome, which attracted 150,000 people, including live viewing attendees both in Japan and abroad.  At the end of the same year, they performed at the exclusive and popular New Year’s music program “NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen”.

Ai Furihata made her debut as a solo artist with the release of her debut mini-album "Moonrise" on September 23, 2020. The lead track "CITY" was a hit, ranking 4th overall on the weekly on-air music charts.  Furthermore, in April 2022, she released her first mini cover album “Memories of Romance in Summer”.  Her music video for the song “Kimitachi Kiwi, Papaya, Mango da ne” has received over 2.4 million plays on YouTube.

For her recent voice acting roles, since 2020 she has played the role of Momoi Airi of the group MORE MORE JUMP! for the mobile game Project Diva Colorful Stage! Ft. Hatsune Miku, and plays Gome in the anime Dragon Quest: Dai’s Great Adventure among others.

Recently, she has been active as a singer with the release of her 2nd mini cover album, “Memories of Romance in Driving” and a featured collaboration on “Be With You feat. Ai Furihata” produced by Night Tempo.

This will be her first ever solo appearance at a North American convention!
