Autographs
Location: Hall C - Entertainment HallIn an effort to improve attendee experience, Animethon has implemented a digital signup system for autograph sessions.
The transition to a digital system is a response to the challenges posed by space limitations, concerns of overcrowding, and ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees. This approach aims to streamline the Autograph process, reduce wait times, and create an equal opportunity for fans to meet their favourite Guests.
We recognize the importance of providing a fair and efficient system for autograph sessions. The digital signup system allows Animethon to manage crowds more effectively and alleviate congestion.
Animethon remains committed to delivering a memorable experience for fans and Guests alike. Digital autograph signup details can be found below.
Digital Signup for Autograph Sessions
1. Participation:
- All Japanese and Industry Guests autograph sessions will have a digital lottery and a digital standby queue.
- All North American Voice Actor Guests autograph sessions will have a digital queue.
- Single Day Passes will only be eligible for autograph sessions scheduled for the day of the corresponding admission (e.g. Saturday Passes cannot enter Sunday autograph sessions)
- Signups are now open. Please sign up using the link found below.
- Unique link(s) will be provided to the patron that purchased admission pass(es) for their group. Each pass purchase will have an individual unique link.
- DO NOT SHARE YOUR UNIQUE LINK(S). The unique link is tied to your order number and associated badge during pickup.
- A user guide will be made available to guide you through the sign up process.
- Once signups commence, patrons will be able to sign up at any time up until the conclusion of the autograph session.
Japanese and Industry Guests Autograph Sessions
- Lottery draws will be performed on August 4 @ 9:00PM for all autograph sessions. Please allow up to 24 hours for email notifications to arrive.
- Patrons who were successfully selected in the lottery draw will be able to line up at the Autograph Session at the scheduled start time.
- Any patron who was not selected will be assigned a standby queue number.
- Note: Any signups received after the draw date will be given the next available standby queue number.
- In the event that a Guest is able to provide more autographs during their Autograph session:
- Standby numbers will be called forward in batches in ascending numerical order.
- Sessions may end at any time due to time constraints, scheduling or illnesses. Having your selection or number called upon does not guarantee you an autograph.
- All patrons that signed up will be assigned a queue number on August 4 @ 9:00PM. Please allow up to 24 hours for email notifications to arrive.
- Note: Any signups received after the above date will be given the next available queue number.
- A batch of queue numbers will be immediately called upon the start of the Autograph session in ascending numerical order.
- In the event that a Guest is able to provide more autographs during their Autograph session:
- Queue numbers will be called forward in batches in ascending numerical order.
- Sessions may end at any time due to time constraints, scheduling or illnesses. Having your queue number called upon does not guarantee you an autograph.
- All digital signup participants will be informed of the outcome of the draws by email before the start of the convention.
- Called queue numbers will be posted on the website. A live feed of the website will be located around the autograph area, but patrons are encouraged to monitor the website from their own device.
- All patrons are expected to line up promptly when their selection or queue number is called. Numbers have no bearing on the position in line once admitted entry into the Autograph session. Last-minute arrivals may result in missing the opportunity to receive an autograph.
- Entry into autograph sessions will not be granted with proof of email selection and/or number. Entry is based on valid badge scans tied to the autograph selection and/or queue number.
These policies are subject to change at any time during the convention, as determined by Guest Staff, Safety Staff and Autograph Area staff. Animethon does not and cannot guarantee that you will receive an autograph from any particular guest.

Q. If a patron bought multiple passes with the same email and order number, how will autograph lottery link distribution work for them?
- In the event where a patron bought multiple passes on a single email and order number, they will receive multiple links tied to the pass holder name under the same email address.
Q. How much do I need to pay to enter the autograph lottery and obtain an autograph?
- There are no fees associated with entering autograph lotteries. Autograph fees are dependent on the guest. Please refer to a guest's autograph rules for details.
Q. I’d like to bring an item for a guest to sign. Is that allowed?
- Our guests have limitations on what they are able to sign for our patrons. Guidelines on what each guest will/will not be able to sign is outlined at https://animethon.org/autographs. Please ensure that your item fits those guidelines.
Q. Are there any opportunities to interact with guests aside from the autograph sessions?
- Absolutely! Our guests will have a variety of events they will be attending to meet all our patrons. From free panels, concerts, and even gaming gacha events, patrons will have many opportunities to meet and interact with them.
Q. What if I get selected for an autograph and don't want to go anymore. Can I cancel my autograph spot?
- Yes! If you want to withdraw from the lottery, or in the case of receiving a confirmed spot at autograph and wish to cancel, you can go back to your unique link and select the "Cancel" button to remove yourself from the lottery or confirmed spot, and it will allow a person on Standby to get in.
Q. I've been selected for an autograph and I want to transfer it to another attendee. Is this possible?
- This is not possible as Autograph allocations are non-transferable and are tied to a patron's badge. If you're unable to use an autograph allocation, we encourage you to release the allocation back to the pool by going to your unique link and selecting the "Cancel" button to remove yourself from the confirmed spot.
Q. I missed or didn't win during the first draw of the autograph session I wanted. Does this mean that I won't get an autograph from that session?
- No, anyone who did not win in the autograph lottery will be assigned a standby or queue number. If the Guest is able to take more people in for autographs on the day of the session, you will be called in based on your standby or queue number to receive an autograph. Standby and Queue numbers being called will be posted on the website and on displays around the Autograph area.
