Cariwest Parade during Animethon

Travel delays to Shaw Conference Centre are expected for Saturday, August 11 between 8am to 3pm due to Cariwest Parade.

The following sections of Jasper Avenue are closed or have lanes reduced:

• Jasper Av, 100 St - 97 St will be reduced to one lane in each direction Saturday, August 11 from 8am to 3pm to accommodate Cariwest Parade Assembly Area.
• Jasper Av, 109 St - 100 St & 107 St, Jasper Av - South of 99 Av will be totally closed to traffic Saturday, August 11 from Noon to 3pm to for Cariwest Parade Special Event.

Travel down Jasper Avenue, though partially possible, is not suggested.
Access to Shaw Conference Centre can be done via 97th Street southbound.

 

Parking

Parking may also be impacted and become scarce. Grierson Hill parking lot will not be available to the public from 6am Thursday August 9 - 6am Monday August 13.

 

Spectating

Animethon attendees are welcome to watch the parade. Please follow on site Cariwest volunteers, security, and EPS instructions regarding using marked crosswalks and staying on sidewalks to avoid disrupting the parade and its preparations.
